Roy Kossena

Defined not so much by genre as by the emotions he evokes, 
Indie Folk Pop Rock artist Roy Kossena is a prolific songwriter with multiple independent albums and theatre productions under his belt.
Following his departure from the corporate sector many years ago, Roy left a high society lifestyle behind him in pursuit of knowledge and self actualisation. What he found inspired him to use his learnings, his love of music and of life, to provide other's with experiences which are enriched with passion, love and creativity, in an attempt to urge others not to let go of their dreams. Whatever they may be...
​'Write On'   
has slowly but surely penetrated the resistance of the social sector, through the surrounding towns of his new home in Lower Templestowe. Solidifying his message that ‘ALL’ people can follow their dreams and achieve their goals with a little bit of hard work, a lot of persistence and the bravery to face and resist the societal pressures to ‘follow the grain’.
In conjunction with the Manningham and adjoining councils as well as regional Victoria he has teamed closely with the early childhood sector, youth workers and retirement homes to offer a creative option in their health and wellbeing sector. More recently, Roy assisted in winning the Council of Manningham an award in cultural diversity through the compiling of welcome messages to refugees from over 11000 children into the song
​“Welcome Home mate.”
From here stemmed further opportunities, including the writing of the song "Piece of Peace" for the United Nations Peace Torch relay, in conjunction with the Manningham Council and the Interfaith Community, and he continues to work closely with the Interfaith network and their common goal of bringing all people together, to create peace and unity for all.

Roy is constantly touring solo with his majestic vocals and soul soothing acoustic guitar, playing both covers and originals around Australia. He is also on the front line, performing as Barry Gibb in Australia's leading BeeGee's tribute show 'Night Fever, BG's Revival', and acting in local and international film productions.
