The good life

A very big thanks to the Whittlesea council for kicking off our children's group Write On sessions with your all girls 12-16yo youth group.
We all had a great time and the result was an always timely reminder to appreciate the good stuff with a song called 'The Good Life'.

"Baseline Youth Services ran a series of workshops during National Youth Week 2016, and approached Roy to help facilitate one, as a consultation for young people asking them “what makes a good life”. Using the ‘Write On’- song writing experience, Roy worked enthusiastically alongside the group of secondary school aged young people using their own experiences and ideas to compile the lyrics and song to ‘The Good Life’. The session quality and level of professionalism was exceptional, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants and staff! Over the two hours, participants displayed an improved level of confidence, as well as personal growth and development.  At the end of the session, the group described it as the “best experience" they had this year! The feedback from the youth services team and other departments on the song and lyrics have been extremely positive and we look forward to working with Roy in the near future!"
